Traveling Route 25 – 8 North

Take Exit 5 – US 1/Boston Ave./North Ave.
Keep Right at top of Exit onto Chopsey Hill Rd. for 2/10th of a mile.
Turn Right at first light onto Reservoir Ave.
Stay on Reservoir for 1.5 miles to Old Town Road.
Take a right onto Old Town Road for 4/10th mile to #735 on right at intersection of Fiske Ave. 

Traveling Route 8 South

Take Exit 7 – White Plains Rd./CT 127.
Stay straight off exit onto Old Town Rd. for 6/10th mile.
Take right at stop sign onto Sylvan Ave.
Take immediate left back onto Old Town Rd. and proceed 2/10th mile to #735 on the left at intersection of Fiske Ave.

Traveling North on Route 15

Take Exit 49 S – Rt. 25 South to Exit 6 – Old Town Rd.
Take right at end of ramp onto Old Town Rd. for one quarter mile.
Take right at stop sign onto Sylvan Ave.
Take immediate left back onto Old Town Rd. and proceed 2/10th mile to #735 on the left at intersection of Fiske Ave.

Traveling South on Route 15

Take Exit 52 – Rt. 8 - onto Route 8 South.
Take Exit 7 – White Plains Rd./CT 127.
Stay straight off exit onto Old Town Rd. for 6/10th mile.
Take right at stop sign onto Sylvan Ave.
Take immediate left back onto Old Town Rd. and proceed 2/10th mile to #735 on the left at intersection of Fiske Ave.

On Sunday December 23rd the Bridgeport Lodge served it's first dinner for our "Serving those who Served" project. As most of you know the Bridgeport Lodge was awarded an Impact Grant from the National Foundation to help us feed the homeless Veterans in our Community. On December 23rd we prepared and served dinners to 43 homeless Veterans. We also gave the Veterans gift bags containing toiletries and other basic necessities for living.

Attached are some pictures of our day at the "Homes for the Brave" facility. As you can see the members of our lodge and the Veterans had a fantastic time at the dinner. We were received with open arms and many "Thank Yous". Though I must admit it seemed odd that these brave Americans were thanking me, it did not feel right. It is us who should be thanking them.

We plan on brining dinner to the "Homes for the Brave" facility once a month as well as bringing them care packages and other items that they may need. IN our first endeavor we received donations of close to $500 in goods and cash to support us. It just goes to show that Elks Care, Elks Share.
