Christmas Food Baskets & Dinner Thank You

There are so many great people to thank for their help in December for donations of food, money and time. We had a great turn out for both the Food Basket Packing and Delivery and Christmas Day Dinner. Because of everyones help we delivered 215 food baskets to those in need this year. Special thanks to Sue Bernor’s organization who made it possible to pack all these boxes in 55 minutes. Our volunteers (both members and non-members) made the annual Christmas day dinner a huge success. We served about 110 people. At one point looking out from the kitchen and all tables (10 of them) were filled with attendees – and they were all smiling and happy. We got a ton of thanks and compliments on the food served. I compliment all chefs and volunteers involved!

A wonderful compliment to all - in the New Register on December 27th the “Sound Off” section asked “Did you have a good Christmas”, one of the comments published said “I went to a very nice dinner sponsored by the Milford Elks” signed Fern of West Haven. This is a great tribute to what we do as Elks.
