Region 6 – New England Regional “Hoop Shoot”
Contest
Nashua, New Hampshire, March 29, 2008
The New England Contest was held in Nashua, New
Hampshire on March 29th. The following kids were successful in
placing first in their age division and will now advance to the Elks
National “Hoop Shoot” Contest coordinated by National Director Cam
Cronk. The contest will be held in Springfield. Massachusetts on
Saturday, April 26, 2008.
Representing New England will be:
8-9 year old Alyson L.. from New Hampshire
8-9 year old Jeremiah S. from Massachusetts
10-11 year old Max C. from New Hampshire
10-11 year old Hannah L. from
Connecticut (Enfield Lodge #2222)
12-13 year old Alexandra P. from Maine
12-13 year old Tom O. from New Hampshire
Hannah shot an impressive 22 out of 25 shots
to win in her age group and she and her family are now bound for
Springfield for the national Contest.
Nicole K. from
Torrington Lodge #372 won her second consecutive silver trophy as
the runner-up in the 12-13 year old group. She shot 20 out of 25
to tie for second and had to be perfect in two five shot play off
rounds to defeat the girls from Massachusetts and Vermont.

place
Kayla Z. (8-9 girls, Putnam Lodge 574) - fourth place
Max C. (10-11 boys. Fairfield Lodge 2220) – fifth
place
Zack G. (11-12 boys, Waterbury Lodge 265) – fifth
place
The kids and their families enjoyed the weekend
immensely and the kids represented their state in a commendable and
praise worthy manner.
