2006 Youth Activities Awards!

The following lodges will be receiving awards at the Grand Lodge Convention in Orlando Fla.

BEST LODGE YOUTH PROGRAM BROCHURE CONTEST:
Division 2: 3rd. Place Winsted Lodge #844
Division 3: 2nd. Place Danielson Lodge #1706

STATE WINNER: Connecticut, New London #360

I am very happy to report that the Connecticut Elks Association will receive the 1st. Place Award in the "State Association's Youth Brochure Contest."

This is the 10th year in a row that Connecticut has won this award. I will be in Orlando to accept this award on behalf of the Great Lodges of Connecticut. I think that this award shows that the lodges of CT truly show that Elks Care, Elks Share.

The Connecticut State Elks Association will also be receiving and award for their involvement in the Youth Activities Student/Veteran Volunteer Program. Our YA committee put in many hours promoting this program. This again shows that Connecticut Elks Care and Share when it comes to Youth and Veterans. I will give you an update about the award after we receive it.

Fraternally,

Paul J. Libera, PDD
2005-2006 Youth Activities Chairman, CEA
